The National Bioethics Committee and the Laboratory for the Study of Medical Law and Bioethics of the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki offer for the second consecutive year an excellent opportunity to learn about the subject of modern bioethics.
Following the very successful organization of the corresponding Program last year, they are co-organizing an educational seminar program for 2019, which will cover a wide range of critical issues, such as euthanasia, assisted reproduction, biobanks and genetic fingerprint banks, informed consent in patient/doctor relationships, etc.
The Programme is addressed to graduate and postgraduate students of all Faculties of Science and Theory, but also to professional lawyers, judges, doctors, teachers, etc.
It includes 12 presentations that will take place from January to June 2019, at the Commission’s headquarters (Athens) and, simultaneously, in a special teleconference room of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The meetings are two-hour sessions, on Thursday, 12.00-14.00 on 17/1, 31/1, 14/2, 21/2, 7/3, 21/3, 4/4, 11/4, 25/4, 9/5, 23/5, 6/6 and 13/6/2018 (presentation of papers).
Upon completion of the Programme, certificates of attendance will be issued to those who attended at least ten (10) of the twelve (12) seminars ensuring the awarding of ECTS credits to the participants.
For attendance, knowledge of English is essential, as there will be presenters from abroad.

The participation fee is 120 euros and the available places are 25 in Athens and 25 in Thessaloniki.
The final list of participants will be announced one week before the start of the Programme, at which time a notification will be sent to the participants.
A subsequent announcement will provide information on the payment procedure for participants, which must be completed before the start of the Programme.
