The AUTh Law School Laboratory for the Study of Medical Law and Bioethics was one of the founding members of the European Academic Network “European Network on Health Law and Bioethics” (HealaB Euronet). The Network is attended by University professors, research teams and researchers with degrees in Law, Ethics /Philosophy or Medicine from seven European countries (Greece, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and France).
The network aims to:
- Highlighting important issues of medical law through announcements / workshops / seminars / summer schools, etc.
- Compiling and publishing common Opinions.
- Formulating legislative proposals to be submitted to the EU or to the competent ministries.
- Organizing joint research.
- Conducting joint publications.
- Collecting, processing, storing and distributing data in the field of Medical Law and Bioethics.
- Performing any other scientific, research and educational initiative or activity that falls within the above subject.
The founding meeting of the Network took place at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in February 2018 with the funding of the Research Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Extra information can be found here.
