THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING PAPERS AND POSTERS IS EXTENDED UP TO SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2021
The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Laboratory for the Research of Medical Law and Bioethics, the Bar Association of Thessaloniki and the Medical Association of Thessaloniki are organising an International Conference on “PANDEMIA COVID-19: MEDICAL, LEGAL & ETHICAL ISSUES”. It will be held in Thessaloniki, between Thursday, November 11th and Saturday, November 13th 2021.
The conference will bring together Greek and international scholars and experts in the fields of biosciences, law, new technologies and bioethics. Its purpose is both to highlight the issues created by the Covid-19 pandemia. The official languages of the conference are Greek and English and there will be a simultaneous interpretation from both languages..
More specifically, the conference will be focusing among others on:
- Covid-19 pandemia: measures for public health and human rights
- Provision of health services in pandemia
- Medical Liability during pandemia/natural disasters
- Procedures for the development and licensing of new drugs and vaccines
- Social media and pandemia
- Tourism, business and pandemia
- Private Insurance Law and pandemia
Paper and poster presentations are highly welcome. There are 3 types of participation in the Conference:
- Conference auditors: auditors will attend the conference and are invited to participate in discussions, but will not present papers or posters.
- Conference participants – papers: each participant will deliver a paper which should not exceed 1500 words, in addition to participating in discussions.
- Conference participants – posters: each participant will present a poster, in addition to participating in discussions.
To submit a poster or a paper, you are kindly requested, after having submitted the registration form UP TO SEPTEMBER 30TH 2021 AT THE LATEST, to send an e-mail to medlawlab.auth@gmail.com stating:
- the kind of your participation (paper or poster)
- the title of your paper or poster and
- a short CV (200-250 words).
All submitted papers and posters will be under peer review. Registered papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
The deadline:
- for registration as a conference auditor is November 10th, 2021,
- for submitting the title and abstract (250 words) of the paper or the poster is September 30th, 2021,
- for submitting the paper or the poster is October 30th, 2021.
A Certificate of attendance will be awarded to all attendees.
